Always On

What’s Your Favorite Minecraft Block?

Wanting to capitalize on our access to popular streamers while we were on the ground at TwitchCon Amsterdam, I proposed this concept focused around one of Twitch’s most popular categories, Minecraft. With a Twitch Rivals event bringing all these streamers into one place, we were able to set up a makeshift filming station as they entered the arena for the event.

We asked only one seemingly simple question, “What’s your favorite Minecraft block?”. The idea was to ask this overly simple question knowing these streamers improv skills will provide humorous moments. The asset was one of the earliest organic wins on Twitch’s TikTok after it launched, amassing 100k likes.

You Can’t Hear Images…

Sometimes simpler is better.

This “You can’t hear images” trend came up in our internal trendspotting report and we played with the idea of creating our own version of this trend.

In the end, I decided on what I believe to be one of the most iconic sounds in gaming, the creeper hiss. The communality evidently agreed, with many “hearing” the image right away.

Killa on Godzilla

With Christmas fast approaching, I went looking for concepts to add to our upcoming calendar. What better way to play into the holiday time then by reviving an Elf on the Shelf meme.

Once the concept had been decided on, the only thing left was to pick our two rhyming characters. an Escape from Tarkov patch had dropped recently and the game was on the rise in our trend reports.

Hence we came up with: Killa on Godzilla. Killa is one of the most fearsome bosses in Escape from Tarkov and pairing him with the fearsome Godzilla was an amusing pairing. The Escape from Tarkov developers agreed.

Legends Will Rise

Tasked with working on a concept for the launch of Minecraft Legends, I proposed that we build out a poster mimicking the official launch poster but featuring the top Minecraft streamers on Twitch instead of mobs.

Working together with our incredible design team, I identified the chosen streamers and sourced their ingame Minecraft skins to be used for the asset. The result was visually spectacular and was a big hit on our socials.
